EcoQuest in Zambia works with rural communities to become good stewards of their land and better neighbors to gazetted and community protected areas.
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a set of global goals adopted by the United Nations in 2015 as part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The SDGs are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that all people have the opportunity to live peaceful and prosperous lives. By working together to achieve the SDGs, we can create a more sustainable and equitable future for all.
As Ecoquest Community, we intend to take part in achieving these goal through our programs that push the agenda of the following SDGs as shown below as
Interventions that reduces the health and safety issues caused by household air pollution and decrease the time women spend collecting cooking fuel.
Interventions with a strong commitment to engaging youths and empowering women
Promote investment in renewable energy and fuel-efficient cooking technologies
Promote alternative livelihoods that reduce pressure on natural resources. Improve ecological and financial sustainability of protected area systems
Promote conservation and enhancement of carbon stocks through sustainable management of land use
