Who we are
A community-led answer to deforestation
EcoQuest is a Zambian registered non-profit founded in 2016. Our mission is to support and empower communities, preserve forests, protect wildlife and reduce emissions — addressing the environmental, social and economic challenges faced by indigenous rural communities amid rapid change from mining activity.
- Communities across North-Western Zambia sensitised about the program — and consenting to it.
- FPIC agreements signed by 5 chiefdom communities in North-Western Province.
- REDD+ project areas identified across 13 chiefdoms — 1.528 million hectares.
